Cloud computing refers to manage, configuring, and accessing the applications through online basis. It offers online data storage, compute, network infrastructure and application which are delivered as a network service.

Separate IT infrastructure from the main system managed separately by one party, accessible anywhere via the internet. 

The efficiency of infrastructure provisioning, utilization, and management related to the adoption of new technology: Software-defined Data Center, Instant Application framework, Automation, Analytics.

Social networking: Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, etc. 
Data Sharing: Email, Dropbox, etc. 
Education : Quipper, Smart Campus, E-learning, E-library,etc. 
Business: Online shop portal, Google docs, etc. 
HPC for a limited duration: Efficiency for massive computing workload

Apa kaitannya algoritma dan cloud computing ?

Menurut saya, kaitan antara algoritma dan cloud computing sudah terlihat dari pengertian dasar algoritma yaitu sebagai susunan - susunan sistematis dan logis dalam menyelesaikan sebuah permasalahan tertentu. Jadi apabila dikaitkan dengan cloud computing mungkin hal yang paling signifikan adalah cloud computing menggunakan internet sebagai tempat data mengalir.
